Tinnitus & Getting High

Been awhile since I last posted on here, but I think this bit of information is worth sharing.

Over the last 3 months I've been getting high every day. Once or twice a day, never a complete stone, but I keep my buzz going.
Well, I have tinnitus. For that of you that don't know what tinnitus is, it's that ringing noise we get in our ears. For all of you that hear silence, be glad, for many of us, there is no such thing.
To cut to the chase. Smoking too much has increased the ringing in my ears and in general is beginning to fatigue my ears.
After going 3 days without smoking, my ringing was back down to normal levels and getting high was completely fine.

So to any hardcore stoners out there with tinnitus. You might run into the same problem I did. If you do, lay off the ganja for awhile and let your drums take a break. I now am going to consider weed the same thing as listening to music. I wouldn't listen to music all day (because it would hurt my ears), and I won't do the same thing with weed.

Wow that sucks..

When I get real high sometimes.. My ears ring, does that count? Its actually really bad with some pain killers for me. The only time I notice is when I try to goto bed and my ears ring from the pain killers. Man I hate those things...

Vitamin E will do it, anything with aspirin or acetaminophen will potentially give you a temporary case of tinnitus. Stress will also make it worse.

I'm a musican and an audio engineer. It's a very common problem among anyone that works around lots of music or loud noises (such as a jackhammer or loud construction.)
