Yes. Seedlings should be started in seed starter soil or a similarly inert medium. When the 3-bladed leaves start growing in, the plant should be moved into fertile soil with Worm Castings and other amendments. We use 3-liter bottles with the tops cut off and covered in foil after transplanting from plastic cups filled with starter soil. They always last long enough to top the plants at least twice before flowering. Worm Castings, Bone Meal, Blood Meal get mixed into all of our soils and we'll give them Maxicrop and/or Palm Bunch Ash for Potassium.
