Time to flip these ladies all organic 4x4 grow

We’ve got a 4x4 with a 350r hgl, digital ballast dimmable 250watts to 640 watts super lumen

2 x white widow

2 x purple bud

Also 1 x lemon haze to put in green house

Top left is purple bud, top right is white widow bottom left is white widow and bottom right purple bud.

these were ran along side some autos which ended up in pretty poor run truth be told, numerous proplems but numerous learning experiences.

grown in an organic soil mix, fed biosys weekly to help maintain microbes, top fed with some fish mix and algimac, i’ve also added some charge along the way which i couldnt reccomend any more if your growing organic, even as just another additive when plants not looking so great.
soil mix is from last grow with a little coco added some worm casts and touch of barley and top dressed with some generic type organic matter from garden centre.

plants have had a mix of main lining, leaf tucking, LST and tieing down. looking at multiple tops and good strength to come.

all four plants due to be repotted in to 50ltr fabric pots, some might say over kill, some might say no room either but i say more roots equals more fruits!

I can if needs be come out the tent.

questions, options other working ways, general opinions welcome.

currently got quite a few of gnats and have some neem oil to come and another product that you apply at top of pot.

lighting - i have another digi ballast that wont need to go in tent, but thinking i might add the 400watt bulb in there before flip, hgl only been ran at half, i might even leave as is and run hgl 350r at 100% along side the digi ballast at just the 250watts. Plenty of lumems imo but i’m also aiming for around 4oz a plant, be happy with a pound.
Again open to suggestions for the above.

all in all pretty happy to be back to photoperiods and its one grow i can truely say i’m a little more in touch with plants, what they need dont need and the enviroment.

i’ll add photos of products i use for those in organics or just for those generally intrested in diffrent types of organic feeds.

feel free to guess the final weigh in, i’ll be adding a mid flower update aswell as a final weigh in and overall personal opinion on how i think things went, not here for pissing contests its a personal grow and i’ll be happy with nice buds that smoke well.

Nice set up! Love the lst done as well. I’m not familiar with your nutes but your plants seem borderline under fed to me. Do you feed veg nutes as you go into flower?

Thanks mate, i’m still in veg they hsvnt actually flipped just yet, gona let them sit tight for a bit as they just been repotted, and i noticed a slight change in colour, that limey green ok on new shots and leaves lowers are nice and green tbh, thing is i left them for a good 3/4 days after last watering with the gnat infestation so they propley was lacking a little, they now repotted and been top dressed with charge and also had a good feed via a tea i made with the biosys aswell as tent cleaned and some desi dust added to floor and top of pots to help get shot of the gnats also added on a few fly traps for good measure. Desi dust is organic and contains silica.

I’m watching to see how they respond to repotting, they was 56ltr fabric pots i ended up cutting them down a touch so likely about 45ltrs , pretty happy and the space is filled so i’ve got my fingers crossed they respond well then they getting flipped in to flower.

I like your approach. Letting them take in the new soil/area before jumping to feeding more and potentially run into issues by over feeding.

Yeah thats the aim mate, i wanted to go in to flower in pretty much perfect conditions, gnats needed sorted also hence the holding back on feed. Just gona let them settle now after the repotting, they had a tea so just waiting on them to perk up as some leaves pointed down wards and curling up slighty. Once the roots start expanding and they happy the ladies will be flipped, i’ll be updating progress so fingers crossed

A little update on the 4X4 organic soil grow.

i flipped these sunday gone and as previously stated i had let them run a few days to settle in to new pots, they’ve been fed a tea and the ladies are looking fine, plenty new growth from the last couple of days so pretty happy and they seem pretty much settled,

LST-on reviewing the purple bud strain it seems the breeder says they have a moderate amount of strenth once flipped to flower so i maybe should of held back a little on the LST.

the two white windows will likey see more of a strenth so i expect these two to be the biggest of the four.
Still pretty happy so far so lets see how they transition to flower, they been top dressed with some charge also and the gnat infestation is non existent so its just a case of bringing them home gradually with out too many issues. I would like to hit that pound of bud mark anymore a bonus.

the HGL is now switched to 100% and i’m going to leave the 250watt hps in there untill they finish up.

i’ll update on progress at the two week mark from flip.

Little update, about two weeks in to flower, the larger plant of the 4 ( white widow ) seems to but ahead of others and was the first to show some bud development. Pretty happy so far, looking at maybe adding in an organic flowering booster, i have bat guano and also adding in beneficials every week aswell as some charge along the way. Wanting to maxmise space and hopefully hit my target of a pound of weed.

feel free to add any thing on to thread, advice, ideas suggestions all welcome.

A little update on the 4x4, we sorta in about 3wks of flower depending how people choose to measure start of flower as its debateable, are people counting frm bud formation or actuall flip day, think i prefer from point of seeing buds forming. I know previous grows i’ve likely chopped a little early. M
Anyways ticking along nicely very few issues other than gnats, seem to knock them back some and over the weeks they re populate, i’ve done a root drench with some neem oil and a little touch of soap wasnt keen on the soap i must admit but its reccomended to help the mixture Emulsifie, there’s no where near the amount i was dealing with, the sticky traps was fucking coverd and they was every where, top of pots top of tent, bottom if tent in the room, on me, on clothes fucking every where!!!

All four plants also had a good defoliate at week two of flower and i also took some more off a week later. the white widow in corner is looking the best and all i see is bud sites so i think this one plant will be the star of the show and the heavy one out of the four.

also split another stem, ( main stem ) i pinned it and tied a cable tie to keep it place while it heals, all four plants have been trained and all four have had split stems, and all recovered well, tbh these were plants that nearly went on to the compost heap just shows how much they can tolerate.

i’ll next update a little nearer the end of flower which i’ll follow up with a yield estimate before its all dried then an actual count. I’m aiming for a pound of weed which i think i might fall short but either way its been a good run so far with not many issues other than those early on and the gnats.

Fucking gnats!!! Every where

I’m allready thinking of my next run, think the 4x4 will be moving to another room with a 2400x120x200 which is twice the size, the pots in this current grow might get reused, the medium will definately be being amended and used again, be starting the veg of new seeds of in the old 4x4 bit of fuck on setting up but i want to run in to next run instead of walking lol, allready picked my seeds not sure on supplier but i’ll put a picture up of what i plan on growing, its going to be a mixed grow with either 2/3 diffrent strains which include blue dream, not sure on exact number of each strain and so on.
Suppose i’m getting carried away but fuck it i’m doing what i love

pretty cheap these seeds also so some question marks on supplier but think i’m gona try them out.

Another update on the 4x4 plants are pretty happy and going along great, been in there defoliating still some issues with the gnats ( fucking gnats lol ) still on going, neem oil knocked them back some but i notice most are young gnats so decided on some nematodes these should work on eradicating the larves then i’ll top the pots with some diatamacous earth to controll the older egg laying gnats

Humidity levels up at 50% which i want down to 35% 40 % minimum also the canopy of fabric pots also looked crowded so i’ve spread them out with some garden wire the areas too crowded now but i’m moving them in to a larger area next day or two hopefully this helps brings the humidity levels down and get some better air flow going through canopy.

also ready to pop some new seeds, mix of strains to veg and run alongside current run

4 x blue dream
4 x Banana punch
4 x Grandaddy bruce banner.

be looking at re using current medium for larger pots and once they go in to flower
