since three way bulbs default to the lowest setting in a normal on/off lamp i did some research and learned some shit this is for any three way bulb but mine is a 50/100/150 cfl. you have to solder the two lower connections together to make the full power 150 watts this bulb works fine now AT 150 WATTS
1st bottom (the button conn.) filament = 50 watts at 120v
2nd middle (ring conn.) filament =100 watts @ 120v (normal bulbs don't have this ring)
both soldered together = 150 watts @120v
