Thoughts on growth in a hyperbaric chamber?

So I was just thinkin....

When its used on humans its supposed to change the atmospheric pressure and force more oxygen and whatever else into the body to heal the body.

Could the theory of doing the same thing with a grow be done and either exponentially increase the yield or maybe shorten maturity time?

Maybe if it was a hyperbaric chamber for CO2 instead of oxygen

im an hbo tech. its my jod. you wouldnt see any bump in yeild. the cost and danger is to high. im on a phone now so i cant get into it. it very interesting to think about well get into it tomarow. im in the chamber for 2hours at a time so if though of some crazy shit to do in there.

alright lets get into it. so electronics and hyperbarics dont mix. we are not aloud anything electronic but our radio. for afew reasons the pressure is bad news on batterys.and chance of a spark in an o2 enriched area = boom. i wouldnt want to be any where neer a chamber with a hps bulb and ballast in it.

there could be some benifits, i wonder if being under pressure would couse stomas to open at a lower temp.


as you go down feet compressing the chamber heats it up. and as you come up it cools just like dumping a can of aerosol. so getting down the what ever pressure you want would raise temps. and to cool the you would have to run you compressor and open exhaust. so you would need a good size compreser.


but the number one reason it wont work is lights, the bulbs are sealed so if they where in the chamber as you go down the pressure in the bulb would drop.bottles of water look like there being crushed, and i bet that would fuck a bulb up, so the light would have to be outside the chamber behind some THICK glass,

i would like to see some studys though to see how plants react.

Ok so lets assume its in a chamber like this one :



You should be able to completely surround the chamber with light from all over...not only that but considering the lights would within 2 feet from any said given area you could have some intense lumens being produced.

How much of a temperature change is there when you adjust the pressure to whatever a human could normally take? It wouldnt crush/implode the plants due to the more fragile cell structure would it? I wonder if you could put some dry ice inside to A. keep the temps down when adjusting pressure, B. add Co2 to the environment

I dont know specifically how Hyperbaric chambers work so please fill in any areas that are flawed in my thoughts. But I assume you could just use a small compressor to remove the exhaust/pressure created from the dry ice just as you would evacuate air through a compressor as you had mentioned earlier. Or do you think compressing the atmospheric pressure would also force the dry ice into the plant not allowing a pressure build up to happen in a sealed environment such as if you were to create a dry ice bomb?

thats a mono place chamber. for one person.its filled with pure o2. if u had enuf dry ice it would pressurize the chamber its self. i have no idea the effects being in the chamber would have on a plant.a monoplace chamber would be like a reverse cool tube. my chamber is about the size of a good size van. when we go down 2.5 atmosphears. witch is 46.5 feet it gets hot but not bad. maybe 90 if we go fast. the chamber can hold 8 people plus the tech max... hmmm ur making we want to stick a plant in there

Is there a way to replace the o2 with co2? Shit... you should just try throwing some normal type of legal plant in there and see how it reacts Just tell the other people inside the chamber its good for them since plants release o2 to breathe haha.

Besides... 90 isnt too bad at all... considering that mj plants LOVE 85-90 degree temps with 1500-1800ppm co2. I think we could create some sort of SUPERPLANT if we get all the factors right.

the only reason there is o2 is cuz thats where you get the benefits. being under pressure and breathing pure o2,so there is no need for it,

yea we dont even alow food or any drinks beyond water, its a medical treatment there are ppl with open foot ulcers and un heeled wounds in there.

we mostly treart strokes and lyme.

you would have to make shur the plant reacts well, there is a chance the pressure would close stomas or limit root uptake,

what are they odds some one who wants to grow in a hb chamber and some who works in one would be on the same MJ forum?

wow.... so its actually a livable area. interesting. I do see a light inside the room though. Is that one made for the hi pressures of an HBO room?

im super geeked out right now this is causing me to have multiple nerdgasms..very intresting but i think the tech is right our babies wouldnt be able to suck up any nutes thru collapsed roots..just my 2 cents..that aside i would love to see it done...if mike jackson did it for years mary jane could do it for a day

One atmosphere is where we are now 14.7psi. , 2 atmospheres is the equal to 33 feet of seawater. the biggest change in atmospheric pressure is in the first 33ft of seawater. I don't know what you're talking about dry ice for, you can pressurize a chamber with an air compressor. The chamber doesn't stay hot btw.
