Thoughts about legalisation in UK

Its everywhere you turn now, you cant watch the television without hearing something about it. We have come a lot closer to legalisation in the last 5 years, it no longer feels impossible. But nothing has actually changed so the quesion is when? Is it likely do you think? Any thoughts?

I reckon after this pandemic blows over they will jump at the bit to legalise it because the tax return on it would be very tempting for the government and also the money they'd save not locking people up for growing a coupe of plants for personal use!

I think that it’ll happen at some point but there’s been barely anything on recreational legalisation for a while. It’ll definitely happen but I’m not sure if it’ll be soon

I kind of like the fact its illegal and I get away with it. It probably would be better tho and I'd defo like try get a couple of monsters outside. It would be nice to know I could also get cameras and contact the police if they was stolen. Would gow shops hike up their prices once legal or do they tend to drop. Would be interesting see what happens with the price of an oz once every Tom dick and Harry has a grow on

I'd imagine the grow shops prices would stay the same because we could just order from anywhere else in the world if they put them up here. And as for the price of an oz it would probably go up because the electric will have to be payed for and we would only be allowed to grow like 4 plants per household. I happily pay for mine but most dont

Grow shop prices have stayed stable in Canada overall I've noticed since we legalized here. We can grow four plants (four.... HAH), possess, ship through federal post, or travel domestically with 30g of product, and "gift" the same amount to others.

That said, I am dead against all legalization (which effectively translates into a political and corporation greed grab, and further control mechanisms). It's a plant, and should be as decriminalized as a tomato.

I was thinking this yesterday, its too big of an opportunity to miss surely?? Now our economy is fucked imagine the revenue we could get back.

Whilst on the subject, does anyone know what the penalty/charge would be for a windowsill grow of 5 very spindley plants producing 5g per plant max in the UK?

Wondering if the Police would do anything considering ppl set up huge grow factorys left right and centre.

Legal or not, I expect there could be a glut of product around in the next few months. Wonder if price will drop?
On window sill, why advertise. If you rent or are in social housing not just the po to be concerned about. Seen people have leases terminated. Google your local area for recent discoveries and penalties to gauge whether you get a slap on wrist or worse. Out of sight (and smell), out of mind. You should look at the stealth/micro and cfl forum on rollitup.

I normally start on windowsill then move them back from view, although first floor so not as much of problemanyway where as if it was ground it would be obvious

Cant really do the grow tent thing and im scared of a fire starting lol.

Im not renting im buying. The only thing is the smell. Was thinking of putting them into an indoor green house wen they flower to prevent smell. As thats the smelly stage i think

Prior to legalization, there were websites you could get a medical card, I applied and told them my ailment was shitting too much they sent me my card and I’d order and they’d ship it to the post office every time I picked the parcel up I’d open it in the store to make sure it was correct. Just to see people look and they were cheap now that legalization hit they are out of the medical and Went to recreational.
