This weeks "Please sign your rep" thread.

I find it very helpful to know where my +rep comes from. Most sign, many don't. I'm more inclined to follow threads and post from those who give me rep. And more inclined to send some back.
Any thoughts on this?

Oh yeah, while I'm on my soapbox here's something that pisses me off. I'm not a rep whore or a post hound. That should be obvious from my stats. If I check a "+rep for answers" thread and have nothing useful to add I don't post. If I have useful information that's already been offered I don't post.
But if I do give advice I WANT MY DAMN REP!, whether the thread starter liked my advice or not.
80% of the time there's no rep.
Am I being unreasonable? Am I the only one who has experienced this?

i agree that i wish everyone would sign their reps. i had a member give me rep, and then ask if i could rep them in return...i'd be more than happy to do that for them, but i didnt know who sent it

so people, if you sign your reps, its easier to get a rep back in return!

true! yea it pisses me off sumtimes too! but it IS just a bar!! I guess you gotta do it for the love of the game....i.e...to help people that need it!! It does kinda upset me that people flock to a thread that says"+rep" and nobody helps the regular guy that just does a thread!!

Yes, but it would be very,very difficult to do. Who would judge a person's grow knowledge? A panel of "THE GREAT ONES"? They have enough to do. I know a lot and I grow a lot, I wouldn't want a newbie who wants to know how to germinate a clone judgeing me. Would you?
Maybe there's a way but I can't think of it right now.

the system they have now is great it just need fine tunning
we should be able to see everyone rep info
like who's repping them and why the rep bar should also provide the rep no. (amount) once you reach a certain amount everyone looks the same

and i'm thinking that personal grow knowledge (pgk) would just end up like the current rep system all fucked up
the proof is in you grows
and + there are a lot of people that like and do differant thing with regards to growing
i know i have a lot of grow knowledge but i am not done learning
and my thoughts on a lot a grow issue are differant from others
a lot of tech is new to the grow world so we have a lot to learn
i wouldn't want to not listion to someone thats knew to the site based on there pgk - they may have 5 million rep points on another site and be moving to this site and have no rep points but still have skills to grow that shit
new ideas maybe shot down based on the fact that some one has a low pgk score and these idea may incress your yeilds 3 times but someone might not listen to the because of it ( and i've seen this happen with the rep system, i seen people type don;t listion to him he has no rep or is way to knew to the site )
