so i have my freshly germinated seeds in my cfl cabinet waiting to sprout then going to move them to the veg room, but im paranoid ive fucked up.

i have my seeds about an inch deep into soil under about 60w of cfls, the length of the tails on each seed varied i just planted all as i read that as soon as they crack and have a tail you should pant but the average is about 1/4 inch.

they are in a humidity dome and i sprayed the soil with a water sprayer till it was fairly wet. should i have soaked the whole thing ?

how long should i wait before i begin to worry about them not sprouting ?

An inch? slightly to deep. If it doesn't come up in 3 days dig it up untill you see its leaves. I had a seed that sprouted underground after i buried it..it had 3 sets of leaves..didnt have enough energy to come through the soil tho..but nows its healthy that ive uncovered its leaves. DONT DIG UP THE SEED just uncover the leaves.

One tip of caution...on my first grow this is how I fucked it up....

I overwatered the seedlings and they died. At one point I actually submersed the eggcarton they were in under water (soooooo dumb). Just the spray should be enough to keep the soil moist. This is actually the stage where it's fairly easy to kill them - so go easy on the water. Try to ignore them so you don't over-love the.

Good Luck
