A little while ago I got a free bean of G-13 Labs Lockstock, after it sitting around I decided to grow her out and see how the strain compared to the other stuff I run.
First off I have to admit I wasnt expecting much from the seed,never heard or read much about the strain. She vegged well, I took cuttings and threw the Mom into flower.
I was impressed in how fast flowers developed but remained skeptical as far as the quality was concerned. At 3 weeks she started to develop a strong fruity and was starting to frost up....
Im now at day 42 and looking at her she looks close. The leaves on the main cola are starting to have that "done" look and feel, and about 1/2 of the hairs are read(Old school I know, but it worked for 20 years)....So I went high tech and used my new 100X microscope and the Trichs are about 1/4 red already too.
The is by far the fastest maturing strain Ive ever worked with,I mean i think it will be done around 50-55 days.
I just found a post on another forum where that grower was harvesting Lockstock at 52 days......my plants sound very similar in appearance, growth speed and smell. Poster and a couple other said the quality was there too, from what I see and smell it appears to be so, but only a sample will tell the story.
LOL I know no one might care but Im all geeked out at the prospect of having a nice Indica that actually is done in 50 or so days. Its a first for me, every Indica I run now takes 9 or so weeks, I give my Violator Kush 10 weeks.............anyone else run anything w/ a short flowering period like this ?
