There is glass in my weed!!!

I Dont know if anyone has herd of this but there has been some articles in High Times about it. I have experienced this first hand unfourtantly. People have been putting very fine glass sand in weed to increase the wight and overall sales. This cant be good on the lungs at all.

I was travelling through Europe last summer with my girlfreind when we ram out of pot from Amsterdam after Roskilde music festival in Denmark. We were going to go back to Amsterdam to pickup some more Chronic but we got in touch with a friend in Germany because it was more along the way we were going. Anyways we bought a half O of alright stuff but when we smoked it, it felt like you were chewing on sand or some shit fuckin gross! Like when you eat potato chips at the beach. I didnt realize it was the glass until I read an articulo about it not to long ago Has anyone els experienced this?

Here in the U.S. it is a crap shoot if you do not really know your dealer.
(many yrs ago I was getting weed with crushed up red brick in it ). It looked like they just took those standard bricks and crushed them with a hammer.
Did not really bother anyone it just fell out of the joint or blunt as you smoked it.
We think the people with the weight were putting about 1 - 1 1/2 bricks in each elbo before compressing.
Needless to say that ish did not fly very long.
I can imagine this would be similar to sand.
I also knew a guy who would always wet his stuff down when he re upped.
He would put soda or sweet tea or anything with sugar really in a sprayer.
Then he would spray the weed profusely.
He did this all the time.
His people thought that the weed was "fresh". LOL

when i was younger i worked in factory that made that glass yall are talking about. its used to make reflectors n stuff like that.
anywho, when its made they make the glass and then melt it into lil glass balls. while doing that the glass gets everywhere. when i was holding at work i would have to smoke out of a water pipe or bong. smokeing thata way lets the glass sink before it gets to your mouth. but after you smoke all that glass grass pour out your bong and check out all that glass in it. that water bong saved me for smokeing atleast a 1/4oz of glass a month.

If you get used to smoking the glass, could someone chip off pieces of waterbong glassware when the herb is gone just to easy the jonesin'?

It's called Grit Weed and nearly all weed that's imported into Ireland and sold at street level has "grit" in it. After you're done spreading weed into your joint if you rub one of the fingers you were using on your back teeth and bite down you can feel the crunch of the shit they've put in it. Like mattso said about eating chips on the beach. The amount of grit in the weed can vary, sometimes you can just feel a little crunch but I tested this weed one time and it was like eating a bowl of cornflakes. They bags are a bit smaller, even though they weigh 3.5gms, or whatever, they definitely don’t look it.

like buying bud right off the branch. if you guys reject those dealers they will reject the loads containing grit. i cant believe this happened, you know you might want to pile the grit up and sell it to the transportation dept....

The problem where I live is that all the weed that you can find has grit in it. Ireland has to import the majority of it's weed from big dealers and these are the people putting grit in the weed. If you don't want to smoke weed with this shit in it then it's very hard to smoke weed. The only solution really is to grow it but at the moment I find that a bit difficult to do.

Yeah. People have actually died from it here in the UK. There's warnings about it in the hospitals etc. The stuff over here was laced with fine glass particles that are added to road markings to make them glint at night. Chances are though the shit you got was plain old Dutch sand bud. That one's years old. Motherfuckers (the dutch, that is).
