Theatrical Lighting/Non Conventional

First, bear with because I am rather new to growing.

I work in a production setting and have access to many lights used in theatre / film.

For instance these, http://mail.altmanltg.com/publicsynergy/docs/BLItemDossier.asp?Item=90-FFS&Country=US

another option would be a strip of 16 of these http://mail.altmanltg.com/publicsynergy/docs/BLItemDossier.asp?Item=90-FTE&PLID=&Country=US

Would the lamp life just make it too ridiculous. Having to change the lamp too often? Does it even have enough lumens?

No you can't use those. Metal halide, HPS, Flouro, those are your choices. Nothing else. Not even LED those still suck too.

Those quartz lights would absolutely suck for growing.

i heard leds were good for vegging but thats is it otherwise if ur going hid i would get metal halides for veg and high pressure sodium for flower with floresent supplimental lighting

You say that you're in theatre and work with these lights. Then you should know that PAR lamps get SUPER HOT! Those quartz lights get moderately hot.

Don't steal from your theatre, I'm sure they are poor enough as it is.

What are the spectrums on them?
