The Weed Bar.

I am in the planning stages of my next grow and I would love some advise. I am planning on building a bar-you know for booze- about 4.5 feet tall and maybe 6 feet wide and about 2 feet deep. Inside the bar will be my grow space. I have 1 150 watt hps, and am thinking I will be getting one more with an mh conversion bulb and seperating the space into a veg room and flower room. How does this plan sound? Should I grow SOG or just about 2 plants per side? How much yield do you guys think I can get from two 150 watt lights? All ideas are welcome as I have never grown in a cabinet before. Priorities are quality, yield, and a manageable electric bill. :joint:

Sounds good in theory, but whenever somebody comes over, isnt the bar going to utilized? I'd try and have my grow op well away from where regular foot traffic might wander. Also, what is your plan for the smell?

Yeah it will be utilized but my girlfriend and I are both patients in California, so I'm not trippin tooo hard about being really stealthy. The smell really would be the only thing to give it away though. That being said I was thinking about doing a diy carbon filter. We are living in a big one room loft though so I needed to create a space to grow without light leaks. You think just like 2 plants per side? Or is it more efficient to go SOG and flower almost right away?

Yeah 2 plants per side sounds good; that's what Im doing. Im going to use 3 Gal pots but my veg chamber will be smaller obviously. With a 4.5' high room you should be able to grow your plants out regularly, no need to sog/scrog. You'd probably want to top in veg though.

As for the smell, it would be very beneficial to exhaust your air outside the loft (through the roof; or into a seperate room like a storage room). Even with the carbon filter you'll still get a musty smell throughout the loft. But you can always go that route and just leave an Ona can on top of the bar or something. Like you said you're both patients, so I'd only be worried about people coming over that get nosy.
