Ok hi there never done a grow outside before me and me mate had set 2 big bud away indoor until they grew there first and second leaves.
We have a wooded area close to home that stretches for miles, so last night before dark we got right into the woods to areas nobody goes and found what we would call THE SPOT, the area is perfect the sun hits there all day and was quite moist underground even tho its been a dry period. THE SPOT is coverd by trees but there is a perfect gap threw trees where the son will blast down all day on them.
We dug a hole for each and replaced with soil and the soil that came up to help the roots get a good start. I placed like a chicken wire round them to stop any vermin getting to them.
With it being the end of may have I planted early enough and when would I be looking at a crop outdoor people say end of october?? And should I go down once a week and feed them with nutes or will they do ok on there own. Ohhhhh THE SPOT hopefuly these babys will bring me and johnny 3 cups plenty of joy.

All comments welcome and when I get chance al start posting picks. Thanks for reading.

All your questions depend on where you are at. The soil and drainage and fertility of it all depend on when and how much you need to feed. your climate will determine how much you need to water. also, the strain will determine when harvest is. indicas harvest early, sativas go later into the fall.

ok thanks for reply the drainage should be spot on as its on a hill that is quite steep so I wouldn't have thought it would get bogd down. We also live in the northern hemisphere. Would u advise in feeding with nutes.

hahaha, ah man you need to read a book.
thanks mate for the helpfull advice +rep for you. As a matter of fact I do a lot of reading and since posting this thread have looked over many journals for outdoor growing. The thing is outdoor growing is all new to me the reason I asked the question is because am new to the outdoor grow scene. A mean the spot I have picked looks as good as some I have now seen on here THE SPOT has a little fresh water stream running past about 50 meter up from THE SPOT we ph'd the water and it was spot on so we just wonderd weather it would be worth adding nutes, but have learned a few things now but thanks again for the advice very helpful

If you want good weed yes you will have to feed them nutes, the plants cant make bud without energy. for ferts you want something high in N for vegging and high in P and K for flowering, you can use simple Miracle grow if you wanna be cheap but the more effort and better ferts you use the better the bud will be. but since this is your first outdoor grow youd prob be better off making it as simple as possible
