the shit has hit the fan I KNEED GROW ADVICE

Ok...i have gotten somewhat an answer to my problems....
I have got 400 bucks to spend...which isnt alot but thats my starting ground...
I understand some basics...

1.metal halide is prefered for veg
2.hps is prefered for bloom

i know that either one can do it all but what is the best route
do i get an hps and/or medtal halide for each stage
or buy the new setup the has both mixed..i need replys from people who really know there shit..
I heard pros and cons for the multisystem
also...i heard somewher that 400-600 watt systems are better than 1000..more bang for the buck...

Also...i need to know some info about grow tents...how costly are they and what are some coomin problems with using them

i need to know one that can accomodate 3-5 plants...will that be big??..

I have never used grow tent so I cant tell ya anything about that. As far as lights go though. You can buy ballasts that do both MH and HPS and I would recommend it. Theres no reason to buy two different ones or a conversion. So you'll get the ballast and then get a MH bulb to start with. Use that for the veg. This way you'll also have time to save up and get a HPS bulb for the flower. My first was a Lumatek 400 watt MH&HPS ballast. Worked fine but wanted more. I bought 9 600watt MH&HPS ballast and now Im much happier

you can get a homebox grow tent off ebay for a little over 100 bucks depending on what size you get. hps produces the biggest buds, i would get a 400w hps or mh (you can get both but it's not necessary) and the homebox, then all you need is some ventilation equipment and ducting and you're g2g.

for extra temp control consider getting an aircooled reflector for your lamp.

you can veg with hps or mh
you can flowe with hps or mh

mh is a little better for veg, hps a little better for flower.... either one will work fine however for both.

WHAT IS THE PRICEW RANGE FOR BOTH OF THE LIGHTS U HAD???

Well the 400 watt Lumatek I paid around 225 for and then the bulb was around 90 dollars. But for a living Im an import/exporter so I just found a manufacturing company in China and I bought my 600 watt ballasts for 80 dollars apiece. The 600 watt bulbs at the store I go to are 112 dollars. But I just placed an order overseas for 36 600 watt ballast, 36 MH bulbs, 36 HPS bulbs, 36 aircooled reflectors, and 36 rolls of mylar. All of that came to a bit over 5000 and for shipping Im using ocean freight(total weight is about 1200 lbs.) and that cost $650.00. So it just shows ya how much these hydro stores jack their prices up.

But anyways I grow poppies in my big growroom and use 4 600 watt ballasts. In my weed room I use only one light and I have it on 7 plants. But I use a light rail and mylay. Which unfortunetly more than 400.

about how much would the ventillation equipment cost??..something simple....

You can get a 4" inline duct fan and carbon filter for 160 off ebay. Which is the best route. I spent over 200 on each of my fans alone at hydro store but I needed it asap. I have flexduct pulling in fresh air through flange installed in roof and then I have stale air(exhaust) pushed out through exhuast vent in roof
