These mask freak outs are sure fun to watch. In addition to a piss poor understanding of the Constitution, a really sad idea of what it means to be an American and an inability to distinguish a good leader from a lying conman, they all suddenly have "medical conditions" and a late-found appreciation for the Americans With Disability Act.
Private property rights and the right of a business owner to deny service to somebody sure goes out the window when that somebody isn't black. Then it is suddenly a Constitutional right to shop somewhere regardless of not following the law or the rules of the business in question.
This is the cost of having a "leader" that denies science and would rather use an issue for his own purposes of re-election allowing the country to continue to suffer preventable deaths. The whole fucking thing has been a slow motion shit-storm and the worst may be ahead of us.
I just got out of an eight day quarantine and immediately ran to the Walmer to get groceries. The last time I was there I counted four people without masks. Today it was much less busy and I counted 27 people - about 20% of the store. After watching these videos, its pretty clear why Walmer isn't confronting these violent delusional assholes - somebody is going to get shot.
I deal with this every day at work. I should post the recordings - maybe I will.
Look into the abyss. See the blackness of the souls of the right wing.
But it's Joe Biden's fault that we don't have a national mask mandate. And a lot of people, like waiters, think that masks aren't good.
If somebody made a film like this, it would not have been believable.
It is a testament to our democracy, and perhaps it's Achilles's Heel, that these people are allowed to vote.
Honestly, not only are mask mandates good public policy and well within the Constitutional mandate for the government to protect the general welfare, but they are fucking priceless for triggering idiots, especially right-wing ones. I love to see them get owned like this. Its precious.
