The First Grow

Yo I recently just started my first grow and wanted to share the love for the natural herb. Below I listed most of what this op consists of. Currently it has been 3.5 days since I planted the seeds that were soaked in water for 24 hrs and they have now sprouted and are almost showing their dicot features since the 2 cotyledons are separating. The 400 watt MH is on but it is low to the ground and away from the seedlings sitting on the 3-4ft table. This is done because it's cold in this area and I this helps keep temps and humidity higher. However I did put one of the CFL’s about 1.25ft away from the seedlings directly but I’m not 100% sure about this. The humidity has been around 50-70% and the temps have varied from 63f-77f but hover around 72f or 74f. I have watered them whenever the soil felt dry but have really tried to avoid overwatering. I am hoping to get them about 2ft-3ft then flower so I can get a final product around 4ft-6ft. This may just be all newbie stuff but I’m just tryna grow some ganja to spread the love-I will have some pics up soon, any comments or suggestions are much appreciated Happy growing :)
Room Conditions:
· 2 windows one with an “ac” unit for exhaust and another for intake
· One fan will be blowing across ganj towards the ac unit & another fan for intake
· 2 mil mylar 48” by 100ft will cover all walls by Fri.
· Size of room 10ftx5ft
Seeds:
· 5 Feminized Northern Lights from Euro
Lights:
· 2, 125 watt CFL’s
· 1, 400 watt MH or HPS (1 ballast but 2 bulbs)
Soil:
· Small pots for seedlings are 2/3 gallon with FF Happy Frog and Perlite
· 6 Gallon pots consist of FF Ocean Forest, Happy frog and perlite
Nutrients:
· Earth Juice Grow for vegging
· Either dyna-grow when flowering or most likely sticking to Earth juice but any suggestions are welcomed

Do they stay small? That's pretty tall (2-3') to veg x 5. They could get pretty big on you & that 400w towards the end. Looking good so far, though. Are you running 24/0?

I am running 24/0 atm with the cfl on them but once they're big enough for the MH switching to 21/3. I guess I may not be able to get them that big but lets see what happens thnx for the help.

I was just wondering if the two that are lagging behind in shedding their shell should be a concern? This is the 5th day since they sprouted and the only other thing that worries is me is that they seem a bit stretched and long. I also realized it was too early for the MH so I just put the 2 CFL's about 4" away from them. Here's some pictures of them yesterday with the mylar almost fully done.

UPDATE: Total Time Since First Sprout Is 2.3 Weeks
So I guess I',m kinda turning thsi into a journal: They are currently 2.3 weeks old and I think they're doing good but I bet I could have done better. They have been fed nutrients twice now. The first was with a quarter strength recipe of grow, bloom, and catalyst (EJ). Today they received almost a half strength of nute water that was ph'd with baking soda water to about a 6.3-6.7. I tested using ph strips, that why its hard to exactly have a number -me eyesight not so good. All I did for the water was let it sit out for 24 hr's. I did not do the whole air pump thing since I just don't have the cream to do it. The big one looked a bit nitrogen deficient on some leaves since they were yellow so I decided to just up the solution a bit on this watering. Now they are on a timer so that the lights, and ac unit turn off for 3 hours during the night so they are on a 21/3 now for the rest of vegging. I simply turned off the humidifier to prevent against mold because the humidity on the lowest settings was reaching 85%. Let me know what you think! :)

All in all it looks like a nice setup you have going there man!
I'd be careful about the nutrients especially early on. If your new to growing its a common mistake to over-do the nutes. Just keep that in mind.
Thats a pretty big fan blowing toward them. Windburn can happen if its blowing too hard right at them. Just enough to see a few leaves move a little bit is plenty.
From now and the time you begin to flower you'll want to work on keeping your humidity down. For me since my growroom is in my old city basement its a big issue. I have to stay in the 40% range or risk mold setting into my biggest buds.
No it looks nice man, keep us updated on your progress and remember to have fun at it !
