It's also a felony to not respond. That's why they canvas after the fact. If they don't get your reply by mail, they spam your register phone numbers and show up at your door until they find out where the hell you're at :)

Dude smoke a little less weed.....lol

you could have filled out the three fliers they sent you in the mail, all stating that "if you don't fill this out someone will show up to your house and make you fill it out". But whatever you feel is easier....Good luck JR

Just be prepared. You know he is going to come by. FIRST, read what i'm posting for everyone to use, below. Understand it. Then, when the census person shows up, be polite, ONLY tell them how many people live there, and for the reasons stated below, decline all other questions.
Pursuant to Article 1, section 2, clause 3 of the constitution , the only information you are empowered to request is the total number of occupants at this address. My "name, sex, age, date of birth, race, ethnicity, telephone number, relationship and housing tenure" have absolutely nothing to do with apportioning direct taxes or determining the number of representatives in the House of Representatives. Therefore, neither Congress nor the Census Bureau have the constitutional authority to make that information request a component of the enumeration outlined in Article 1, Section 2, Clause 3. In addition, I cannot be subject to a fine for basing my conduct on the Constitution because that document trumps laws passed by Congress. Interstate Commerce Commission v, Brimson, 154 U.S. 447,479(26 May 1894) "Neither branch of the legislative department [House of Reps. or Senate], still less any merely administrative body[such as the Census Bureau ] , established by congress, possesses, or can be invested with, a general power of making inquiry into the private affairs of a citizen. Kilbourn v. Thompson ,103 U.S. 168,190. We said in Boyd v. U.S. , 116 U.S. 616,630 6 Sup. Ct. 524,― and it cannot be too often repeated ;that the principles that embody the essence of constitutional liberty and security forbid all invasions on the part of the government and it employees of the sanctity of a mans home and the privacies of his life. As said by Mr. Justice Field in RE Pacific Ry. commission, 32 FED. 241,250 'of all the rights of the citizen, few are of greater importance or more essential to his peace and happiness than the right of personal security, and that involves , not merely protection of his person from assault , but exemption of his private affairs , books, and papers from inspection and scrutiny of others. Without the enjoyment of this right, all others would lose half their value' " Note : This United States Supreme Court case has never been overturned.

You're only obligated to answer a few of the questions. Do your homework, stand up for your rights and be a good Amerian

I filled mine out: 1 white American male. if they come to my door I'll point to my truck and hopefully they can read the bumper stickers and know it's time to leave.

Why the f**k wouldn't you just fill out the census form right away? I can't believe some people find the questions invasive. How many people live in your home? What is your name?
The only purpose of the census is to figure out how many people are in each town/county/state for elections. They can't share the information with the police, FBI, CIA, or immigration.
I think some people are just so stubbornly against government organizations that they will dismiss these census questions as "invasive" and this has created a pattern where others follow blindly in their footsteps

Be sure to tell them what strains you are growing! They are really just strain hunters in disguise! Silly citizen, census strain hunters aren't for kids:hump:
