Tent kicking my ass

so I’m the least handy person you’ve ever met. Recently ordered a Apollo Horticulture tent 4x4 and I got the frame together fine but now I have the frame and an oversized suitcase thing I’m wrestling with and I’m just overwhelmed. The instructions are really not clear. Not sure what you guys can do but I needed to bitch I’m having a terrible panic attack.

Take a deep breath hold it and exhale. Take the over sized suitcase which I'm assuming is the canvas for the tent and roll it out so you can see what you're working with.

Start with top.

Pull entire canvas over the top of the frame and to the front of the tent.

First off relax, it will be fine. It really is a 2 person job but with some experience 1 can do it. Once relaxed make some room. Put the frame on the side for now. Start unfolding the tent a bit and unzipper the front or any other part of the canvas that is "zipped" up. Lay it out on the floor. Find the bottom of the tent first, this is crucial. Look for writing or the manufacture name on outside of canvas. This way you can tell which way is up. Once you find the bottom you can place the frame inside it. Should fit nice and snug once you handle it. May be tight so you will have to tug it hard on the last corner.

Now the rest of the canvas has to be pulled upwards around the frame. This is where you really could use a second pair of hands. Use a small ladder in the middle of the frame to help pull/push the canvas in place as needed. It will take some tugging but once you have the top pulled over the frame you can then zip it all up and make it tight.

Good luck

Start by opening all the tent fabric making sure all zips are undone.
Find the bottom square which will have vent flaps in.
Lay her out so you can lift the frame and seat it in the bottom gently sliding the tight square fabric corners over the frame corners.
Then find the top square and pull it up so it seats itself over the top of the frame, remove slack from the back wall so the top slides over, first the back corners then pull the fabric over the front corners.
Once that's done its just a case of zipping all the zips up

Is there like some eleven year old around you could hand the instructions to and come back when they have put it up for you....?

Lol ikr I had to dab some indica to calm down but ya that would be super convenient.

With many you have to setup the bottom half of the frame in the tent then assemble the frame inside as once the frame is all set up you can't pull the top pf the tent over. A buddy gave me an older 8x4 tent and said that's the way him and his husband had to do it. Much easier with a helper they said. I'm using the frame alone in a spare bedroom so I can hang my lights etc from it rather than put hooks in the ceiling like I do down in my main grow room. The ceiling down there is full of holes after 17 years of growing in there.

just wait till you need to take it back down thats the real bitch well it was for me. when i did my tent for the 1st time by my self i almost has a stroke trying to pull that shit over over the top frame. i ended up taking to two front poles out so the frame wasn't so stiff pulling you cover up and over then forcing the two pole haves together. totally bent the poles doing so

Here is a little help ...... you can if you want mark the poles ( if not already ) for tear downs and rebuilds.

This is a general way to erect a grow tent.

Anyone who claims they haven't had a full blown, meltdown style tantrum, while trying to erect a mid grade grow tent alone, is a bold faced liar....

Not gonna lie took me a minute to figure out my tent too as it was unzipped completely, I didn't know which way was up or down. Only thing that helped was the tool pouch and the window on the main flap.

Thank you guys for all the replies! Update: I managed to get the suitcase thing over the frame! Despite my mid construction mental breakdown. Couple trips to the store later everything is working and seeds are in the coco.

I about had a stroke trying to put a 80" tent in my 83" basement, so I know how you feel. 5 min to put the poles together and 3 hrs of struggling and cursing at the canvas lmao.

Lol yeah I’m happy it’s done that’s for sure. It was a close fit around the ceiling fan in the room but it worked out.

Make sure there ain’t no light leaks for when you flower. Some of those tents have small pin holes near the seams and stitching.

Thanks man it looks good so far no leaks and it’s got the pressure thing going on so I think everything is good with the airflow.
