I currently look for a light for a 4x8 tent which one should I get 4 x 315w cmh or a 2 x 630w cmh light. Going to be a flower tent

I don't think there's a massive difference in tents apart from when you really go all out on gorilla tents which I personally couldn't justify.

Defo go with 2x 630 cmh.

Brands vary on tents from country to country.

I would just make sure you have metal poles, metal corners .

You’ll pay more for quality LED fixtures But you’ll have significantly better lighting. I know there are a lot of QB fans, but that type if light source is very center weighted so anything not directly under the light is getting much lower PAR. Bar style fixtures from Fluence, Gavita, Mammoth, Chilled, etc produce more even PAR maps over the canopy.
You might also want to consider a 5x9 tent if you have the room.

4'x8' Gorilla tent. (Quality is worth the cost)

3x- 630w cmh and you'll be happy.

I would go for 4 315w just to get a bit better coverage. Or 2 315w CMH & 2 240-320w LED’s.
Don't get how 4 315s is better coverage.
Each covers a max of 3x3 and that's pushing it. No orientation that covers a 4x8 with good light distribution.
6x6 or 3x12 but not 4x8

I just don’t like the dual bulb design. It’s not air cooled and forces to hang higher above canopy wasting light and since it’s a tent OP is most likely limited on height. The benefits of CMH to me is being able to hang them close to the canopy.

Yes the 315’s spread would be a bit lower on the outsides, but being able to get them closer to canopy and more usable vertical space and more light overlap is worth it IMO.

2 600w HPS with a 315w CMH in the middle would be my personal choice. 50w/sq ft, good spread, good balance of yield/resin.
