I have a two cabs I built...my temps are around 85 degrees.. the rest of my house is 70. I have fans blowing into the cabs from cooler parts of the condo. Do you think if I put a duct fan at the top of the cab to suck out air would help?? I dont know what to do..I might have to design a new room?? :wall::wall::wall:

85 isnt horrible, but yes a little high. Is it ambient temp or directly at the plants? And you could put a duct on top - but remember you have to put one in too, cant just have air out and no air in.

All you need now is a inline fan to pull the air out, this will make a HUGE difference, but you would need to pull the air out into another room or out the window,if you dont, and just let the air from the cab get pulled out into the room where your cab is, all the air that is being pulled out from your cabs will eat up all your fresh cO2 in the room. If you get a inline fan to pull the air out of the cab you dont need another one to pull air "into" the cabs, the reason is once the inline fan is pulling air from the cabs, little cracks and holes around your 2 cabs will be also pulling in air through the cracks and holes allowing fresh cO2 to come into your cabs and giving you fresh air flow and bringing down temps "hope im not confusing you" this is the method i use for my grow tent and it works pretty good, try to get a inline fan with more then 200CFM, i know its a bit high but why not have extra insurance :)

its well worth it man, and another peice of adivce would be to get a carbon filter for the flowering stages, to cut out all that skunky smell. you dont need a carbon filter for VEG cause theres hardly any smell

I have a vent fan with a carbon filter...smell really isnt an issue tho. The cabs that they are in aren't sealed off. As soon as I can figure out the temp situation I'm going to seal them up and hook everything up to timers so I can have a life. Im going to construct a cool tube later on tonight I finally have all the hardware.

I agree with what the other posters are saying but if I understand correctly you have intake fans but no exhaust fan. You don't really need intake fans, you can use passive intake vents. For the time being you could just turn one of your fans around and use it as an exhaust to get your temps down. In the long run you should follow the other suggestions.

I just have 150W HPS. The exhaust fan makes sense..Im gonna rig something up. right now I have the temps at 80 degrees. They were at 88 this morning. Im just going to have to keep the A/C pumping until I go to home depot.

I thought about that, but I have to be semi-stealth about it..I cant have duct work running through my condo. Im going to try this exhaust fan..Hopefully that will work.
