TCS Meter problems

Hey all. I am on my 2nd TDS meter and having no luck. The first one I bought was ancient and I returned it. The one I bought today is a brand new Bluelabs EC/ppm one meter. When I put it in water or my nute solution it always reads zero. Other than maybe re calibrating it, anything else I could do? It should work out of the box. Thanks!

Sounds broken... Order 3 cheap plain pens... leaves you with a backup, and 2 other pens to compare values if in doubt.

Probe is defective. I have a blue lab ppm pen and it is built like a tank but like anything some are defective from the mfg or stored to long in inventory and go bad. I bought a blue lab pH pen recently and it was D.O.A had to send it back. Bought 5 cheap yellow ones for 20 and they are still on deck.

You can find cheap meters for under 5-6 bucks that will work just fine. Just buy 3 at once because 2 is 1 and 1 is none when it comes to supplies. :-)
