i know u can get distilled water and spring water in gallons at the store. maybe other kinds too that i dont know of since i dont usually buy water haha. so does it matter which one i buy, I personally wasnt expecting anyone to make a difference but i figured i'd ask just in case.

Distilled water acts as a sponge, and will absorb and hold onto minerals & nutrients and your drainage will be full of nutrients. I use plain tap water, often I don't leave it out to 'dechlorinate'. For occasional mistings(rain) I use water from my dehumidifier to clean off the leaves, without leaving residues.

Your tap water is really, quite likely, the best. It contains a broad spectrum of trace nutrients that plants love. I'm pretty sure most fert manufacturers assume they'll be mixed with tap water or well water(which is really hard(full of minerals), but excellent for that reason).

all you have to do with tap water is leave it out for 24hrs so all the chemicals evaporate..

If your city has an Asian shopping district, you can usually find a Pure Water store that will have reverse osmosis water for around 10 cents a gallon. Most of these places offer membership where if you pay more money up front, to get the water even cheaper.

I have been using distilled water and it seems to work just fine for me.

Your telling me I am better off filling a bucket of water and letting it sit out and use that instead? If the water sits there too long wont it get staganet?

i just fugure i'll need a cpl litres for my watering tomorow so fill up a 3 litre bottle today, leave it overnight and find that it is fine. depends how good your tap water is tho' i guess. i pay my water bill every month so i'll be fucked if i'm gonna go out and buy some more.

if it sits for a month maybe. but were talking about letting it sit out overnight and then using it. i keep 5-10 gallon jugs sitting around with the tops off and thats what i use.

i have a 5 gallon bucket, that i fill up in my shower, and let sit for 24 hours. sometimes it sits there all week. and i use the water. my cats LOVE drinking this water. and i also use it in my fish tank. if those little fish dont die, or get sick, im sure my plants will be just fine. because ive tested it on the fish. if i use that tap water straight from the tap, fish will die. this happens almost every time i've experimented with this. (little goldfish from wal-mart 18 cents a piece) goldfish are much more affected by bad water than plants are.

i have no idea i dont have a ph tester, and since i only have a fish pond now i sold my tank supplies (take fell and broke) i needed the cash. but i do remember the ph was not totally off, but wasnt perfectly ideal. but eh i havent really worried about it. if the fish can live in it im not worried, but its also my first time growing and its for personal, im not picky. im sure after a nice curing my buds will be good :D
