t5 propagator tent 20+ plant SOG grow?

Hey guys,

I've been using a big ole 600w in a 1.2x1.2x2m tent for my last few runs getting around 9-12 oz per run from 8 plants in 3.5l pots (should have gone bigger I know), however power consumpsion is becomming a bit problematic. I used a male to fertilise one of my girls this round and I've ended up with 60+ viable seeds.

My current idea is to downsize to a tiny 60cmx90cmx60cm tent (dp 90, so I can fit it inside my house and utilise the excess heat), run a 6 tube t5 (60cm long) in there which will be flush to one end, then an aditional 125w cfl in the remaining 30 cm. I plan on using 2l square pots (13cm wide x 13cm deep) with this pot size I can fit around 24 pots with a little space in between. With the t5 unit being 6cm deep (call it ten to give the plants some room not to touch it) I've got 37cm of viable grow space doing 12/12 from seed. I'd only need 6/7 g per plant to completely cover my needs, and i'd be using about half the power I am currently.

Am I talking crazy or is there some sense in this?

You can check out what I put in post 400 watt cfl maybe it will help if you have any questions just ask I try to answer and explain best I can

That looks close to what im trying to do, what pot size are you using?

3 gal trash cans then I used drill put holes around sides at bottom for air and drainage I have 3 tents and this closet experiment soil for this experiment I used manure humus mix 1.87 per bag cheap top soil mulch mix 1.42 per bag used 2 1/2 bags of each one and using bonide 10-10-10 nute cost 5$ per quart like I said this one is all an experiment I trying to see if I can do what they so I can't lol

Okay so your pot size is significantly more than mine, im assuming you have a lot more head room than I will too

Closet is 4'x2' with 5' ceiling but remember roots are key to production hard to get production when you have the system if the plant governed basically step up in bucket size and watch the difference makes

WOW, that is exactly what I had in mind, thanks for the resource.

Yeah im thinking 2l pots would be capable of even more, i've been using 3.5's and getting between 1 and 2oz a plant (with 600w hps though). My main reason behind the 2l square pots is they have the most volume for the least height.

yeh exactly, its all about how you utilize your lights with the SOG method or variants.
that guy is like the SOG god haha, he pulls like an avg of an ounce/plant with SOG using CFL's lolol fucken almost unheard of
