assuming your ventilation is working well, you should be able to get them within 6" if not closer. just make sure that the heat between the bulbs and the plants isnt so hot that its 'uncomfortable' to place your hand between them.I have a 48" 4-58 watt bulbs T5 H.O. 6500k blue, 20,000 lumens total, how many inches can i keep these off my plants? 1ft? 2ft?
well the closest i could get my 1mo olds to it was about 8 inches away for now....the babys...(1 week old) went under the T8's (6500k)bro, be careful with those T5's, they dont fuck around.. i could get mine within a couple inches without no heat probs..but! the babys didnt like it, started bleaching on me..
if ur plannning on using them on mature big girls, say 3-4 weeks onwards, id get 'em as close as a mafugga
I have the same set up, I keep my T-5's about 4" to 6" above the tallest plant. Good luck but keep the lights down!!I have a 48" 4-58 watt bulbs T5 H.O. 6500k blue, 20,000 lumens total, how many inches can i keep these off my plants? 1ft? 2ft?
I'll second that. I don't even worry about spectral blend really, I just wanna get em as close as possible.you want your t5 as close as possible.
thanx for the info broI keep mine 2" tops, it loves them, I just took a pic today, I was going to flower under hps, but haven't gotten around to getting it up yet.

Is that from seedlingsyou want your t5 as close as possible. Not to.close to prevent spectral blend. T5 is linear and not a single point of light. Inverse square law. . So about 4 inches from canopy is.perfect. Heat will be where ever the drivers are. Depending on how the drivers are vented. Hydrofarm t5 put out less heat than quantum bad boys and htg t5's.
That's mainly flower. In veg and with seedlings 8-12 inches is fine. Even a little further with seedlings. Is that from seedlings
