Switching from CFL's to HPS

Hi. I have nearly completed a one-plant grow under CFL's and was looking into upgrading to HPS, but i have a few questions. First off, the space i am working with is in a closet, 2' deep, 6' wide, and 5 and a half ft tall to a shelf, then above the shelf is another 2 and a half ft.

What is the best wattage to use that would work in this limited space for HPS? Also, can you point me in the right direction as far as where the best place to get them is, and any other information about HPS that you feel I need to know.

With good temperature control and ventilation, I'd recommend a 400 watt HPS. You can get one for $140 (shipping included) at High Tech Garden Supply. The delivery time is fast.

hps get HOT! i have a space similar to yours and 400w hps was too hot even with 2 inline fans.. so i had to go down to using two 150w's with a cooltube. It totally depends on your environment and ur outside room temps. ebay always has good deals on lights. . just type high pressure sodium into google and read up
