Switching from bennies to sterile mid grow?

Currently running GH with hydrogaurd. everything going good, maybe 2 or 3 more weeks of veg left. Ive been hearing great things about cultured solutions nutes and really want to try them out. Im trying to decide if i want to switch over on this grow and if i do, whether or not to switch from hydroguard to uc roots. I have the option of switching nutes and keeping hydroguard instead of killing it off with uc roots, but i really would prefer to just use their complete setup and go sterile with uc roots (yes i realize uc roots its overpriced bleach solution, not looking to debate that here).

So the question is, will it stress my plants or root systems to kill off the hydroguard with uc roots in the middle of a grow? I hate to fix something that isn't broken, but im really curious to try the complete CS line of nutes including uc roots and i dont want to wait until next years grow.
So 3 options, 1) leave things alone and finish this grow with GH and hydroguard, try CS next year. 2) switch to CS with the exception of leaving out uc roots and keeping hydrogaurd. 3) switch to CS with uc roots which will kill off my hydroguard bennies and go sterile.

i'd think about southern ag instead of hydroguard. it's cheaper and a million x more concentrated.

but to answer your ?, no it won't hurt. you'll need more of uc roots to kill off the bacteria at the switch

have you had a harvest with GH and hydroguard? if not, i'd continue to the end. then you have something to compare the new stuff to.

Fair point, maybe i should finish this one out and if i really see no advantage to CS nutes, i would save money sticking with GH. I would say either line of nutes is probably gonna be capable of excellent results, but what i really like about CS is that its really meant for DWC and when you look at the feeding schedule ppm numbers, you can tell they are in a realistic range and following it exactly is probably a great starting point, then adjust from there based on what your ppm does over time. With GH, the feeding schedule is not even close for dwc, its at least double strength of what will burn your plants. Sounds easy enough to just scale it down to a realistic ppm, problem is that it may not necessarily be proportional, maybe cutting the base nutes in half from schedule works ok, but cutting calmag in half doesnt, or maybe micro needs to stay full strength while grow and bloom gets cut down. Just hard to know and im not the best at reading my plants for specific deficiencies and toxicities. With CS's realistic schedule based around dwc, i feel that i have a much better shot of giving my plants the correct amounts in the right proportions with less adjustment needed.

to be fair to GH, their schedule is a general one for growing in hydro. not for cannabis specifically.

i think the NPK ratios are more important than brand. they all source their raw salts from only a few companies in the world
