Switch to LED from HPS mid-cycle?

I have all the parts to switch over to full LED from 600w HPS, but am currently halfway thru the flowering cycle. I'm want to get the LED in there soon, but worry about freaking the plants out mid-cycle. Should I want 5-weeks to finish flowering, or switch to LED mid-flower?

I'd be in the same mindset. Tough call.

The shift from HID to led is usually a bit troublesome, id wait until after your current is finished, especially if its your first led grow.
Props to rob333 if he made it work, but generally it dont go so well as the environment needs to be adjusted. Its not a plug and play shift.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess I'm just gonna wait it out till the grow is done, plus it's still kinda cold this time of year in my grow space, so the HPS is good for that. I feel like that kid who sees that gift under the tree days before, but has to wait it out until christmas morning. I got a 4x QB96 setup ready to go. Currently vegging under a v1 288 4k kit.

Thinking about adding some UV to the 96's.. maybe a couple of 2' T5 UV tubes since I have a 2' 4-lamp T5 unit just sitting now. Not sure about far fed.. prolly gonna just go without for the first run, then add far red to the 2nd run to see the differences.

I've done a couple of LED runs in the past, but they were shitty cob units.
