Hey everyone. Moving in a nice direction with my autoflower balcony grow (germed 4 of 6), but I could really use some advice/input on a light issue I`ll likely face throughout the grow.
My ladies get a nice amount of direct sunlight on a sunny day (approx. 7 hrs, plus a couple more of ambient daylight), but the climate I live in tends to have a variable weather pattern (northern hemisphere mountains).
Could I please have some opinions on whether or not I should supplement my natural outdoor lighting with some CFL`s indoors on cloudy/rainy days. I know photosynthesis occurs even on cloudy days, but I`ve heard the UV rays are bit harsh on those days, not to mention the obvious lack of direct sunshine which can lead to lessened growth/development.
I`m planning on using a very remedial home setup...nothing professional...2x 23watt CFL`s, 6500k cool white daylight during veg (then 2700k during flower), a few inches from top of plant with foil reflector rigged up for added intensity. Any comments? Please keep in mind this is only a supplemental regimen for a very small personal grow of a few plants, whereas my outdoor adventure is going to be the main focus for growth.
Looking forward to absorbing some knowledge from the community. Thanks in advance.
