As it stands, going to be testing out my own supersoil recipe against natures living soil recipe (both closely ressemble subcools tried and true super soil mix, i want to hear what everyone thinks about the list so far, here it is...

4-1.5cft bags fox farm ocean forrest
1-1.5cft bag happy frog
5lbs alfalfa meal (2.5-.5-2.5)
5lbs kelp meal (1-.1-2)
5lbs fish powder (12-1-1)
5lbs seabird guano (0-11-0)
5lbs green sand
5lbs fish bone meal (3-16-0)
5lbs Langbeinite (0-0-22)
30lbs earthworm castings (local n fresh)
5lbs granular humic acid
2lbs bat guano (9-3-1)
1lb crushed oyster shells

Trying to stay away from blood and bone meal, keeping it fully organic so please keep that in mind if making suggestions id like to keep this 100% clean and natural. Please note this is the shopping list not the ratios at which i will be amending. Been buying amd using Natures living soil supersoil by instruction to the T, except i put twice the amount called for into my pots(vegging big plants to be 2lb+ at finish indoors so lots of food needed over the 4 month veg and 2 month flower cycles)... i am trying to build a super soil mixture that will match or beat the results from the soil i am buying. End goal be more aware of what my plants are eating and whats in my media, number 1 goal is to save money the super soil is expensive to buy and i feel like an a-hole for not doing this already lol. Any feedback is welcome but please lets keep it on topic and try not to be too negative thanks everyone for your participation and positivity :bigjoint:

Also note that 5lbs of azomite powder needs to be added to the list as i will be amending that in as well... also top dressing this when up potting or transplanting clones works magic on the ladies and helps reduce transplant shock

You could save yourself a bunch of dough by using something other than fox farm. Really no reason to buy an amended soil if you are going to build your own.
Mixing up a simple 3 part base would be super cheap

Kind of why i am experimenting with my own recipe for super soil, i would also be interested in some ideas for making my own base potting soil... i was thinking about pete moss, perilite, and top soil from my property (its very very good stuff, i live on old farm land and my house is basically the middle of the old crop fields, its very dark like coal, its on the heavy side, but excellent soil here imo and our garden likes it too lol) or if not my own top soil then i would add compost instead... not really sure what the best route for that 3 part base is im interested in hearing your ideas on the subject...

Soil 3 part base mix of Farm Compost, Applecart Worm Castings, Coco Coir buckwheat hulls and instead of perlite I use heat treated rice husks/hulls
Check out Joshua steensland on youtube think you will enjoy his style of growing he’s forgotten more than I know ☮️
