Super lemon haze 250w CFL Grow journal

Lighting: Powerplant reflector, 250w Powerplant CFL
Grow tank: GHE waterfarm
Grow medium: Clay pebbles, rockwool & coco
Nutrients: Canna aqua vega A & B, Rizotonic
Other: Diamond reflective sheeting & weeks of research!!!!

hey im intrested in this grow, i will be watching lol i have the same light, and im using two 65 watt cfls aswell one of each spectrum, do you plan on putting the intake and outake straight away? the light still gives off a good bit off heat, my space is a bit bigger than yours i think and it gets hot in there without any ventilation, do you have a thermometer? i have a blue himalaya and a white diesel growing

The light Im using hardly gives off any heat at all. Iv grown with cfls in the past and the room temperature was alot higher, I think it might be down to the brand, are you sure you using a 250w powerplant light? I haven't put the mylar up yet either so Im expecting the temperature to increase when I do. I think the temperatures between roughly 20-25c at the moment (it's almost room temperature!) Im not gonna bother with ventilation for this grow if the temperature stays the same as it is now I won't need it. I'm adding another identical light for flowering though so Im just gonna see how it goes..

Cool setup, but at 250 Watts, would it make more sense to get a HPS lamp? Sure the ballast will use about 15% more, but I believe it would be worth it in the end!
May be a good conversion, for when you start flowering, seeing as you would need to change that bulb to a warm tone over this period.

yes i have the exact same light, i have not used it with the blue spectrum yet but i am currently using the red and it gets hot, im waiting on my filter kit coming, but for know i have to have a normal fan blowing out the hole in my tent to get the hot air out, its just 2 warm without it, i thought it would be ok but it was getting up to 90 so i had to get the fan in there, i am going start a thread for my grow so i will send you the link when i have uploaded pics and stuff

Thanks for the comment, and Lol TRUST me you don't know how much I've thought about that. If I switch to a HPS Il have to pay for the reflector, bulb and ballast then Id have to invest in a decent ventilation system so at the minimum 2 extractor fans + the ducting and fittings etc then Id need to buy a jigsaw for the holes for the ducting to go through lol, basically it's just gonna take alot of time and effort and gonna cost alot of money. I definatley want to do it for the results but I think Im gonna wait until Iv done this grow and sold the product first before I start investing in a HPS

Yh man no probz, maybe its just the 2 different spectrums then I think blue lights are meant to be cooler anyway. And yh definatley man send me the link once you've posted it

Thanks man Il check it out now. And I dont know how to suscribe, but if you add this page to your favourites bar it would probably act in the same way, or just go through teh search listings..lol
