Sunshine vs. HID lights question

I'm curious to learn more about differences in bud production on plants grown in sunshine vs under lights. I've done a little searching but can't find what I'm looking for. Differences in bud size, density, canabinoid content, etc.? I know there are lots of different types of lights and spectrums and all that which may make comparisons difficult. Anybody done or seen a clone comparison study on this?

Bonus question: if a greenhouse structure is rated as UV resistent, does this mean no UV gets through it? I know it means UV won't destroy it as quickly, but does it penetrate through?

For the bonus question. UV resistant is for the material its self. UV rays will be diminished the same as light, but pass through just fine. My eye glasses dont get darker when im in my grow room MH or HPS even when i hold then 5 to 6 in under it.. But in a greenhouse they change the same as out side just not as dark.

I don't have much experience but here's my two cents: in an isolated case sunlight is far superior (spectrum and intensity), but if you're growing outdoors your crops will require more attention for things that you can more or less control in an indoor set up (heat, bugs, dust, pollen from wild ruderalis and all that stuff). All this stuff will bring down yields. oh.. cool thing I learned this season: sunshine grow using light dep my plants ripened a lot faster than my indoor plants :D if I had to choose 10 times out of 10 greenhouse grow

There really is no comparison. The indoor grower is trying to match the sun out of necessity. My outdoor plants have better structure, better trichome production, just a better overall plant. In saying that I do like the clean, fresh, clear taste that well grown hydro provides, I know, call me weird lol. Honestly never tried organically indoor grown product so cant compare the taste to sun grown plants.
