Suncloak

If any of you have used a sun cloak, can you share your experince. Has anyone built something similar, something with vertical led strips? Can you point me to it, or elaborate about design?

I'm thinking of building something similar: 4-5 foot led strips; should I use 1, 3 or 5 watt?

How do these types of displays compare against traditional displays?

I'm trying to build a good display for apx 400-500. Version 1 used kingbrite Cxbs, but shipping seemed difficult to justify. Version 2 used various clu 048 vs clu 058, but I couldn't decide on a shipper based on available parts.
