Hello everyone,
I have been reading around for a while now following everyone's journals and I decided it was time for me to start up again. This grow will be with a 600w electronic ballast, sun system magnum xxxl grow hood, and I will be using Some of the advanced nutrients line as well as Roots Organic on a couple of the girls.

After a while of waiting around I was finally able to pick up some chocolope clones from a friend. So this is the stage I am at so far, waiting on the clones to take root.

Feel free to post questions or concerns and I will get back to them. I will post progress as well as pictures on a weekly basis.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all enjoy! :leaf:

Ive seen all of those nutes at my grow store and always wondered what they would do. I guess Im gonna find out. Chocolope has been a strain Ive wanted to see in action.

Quick Updeate on everything. Four of the clones took root really well so those are the ones I am keeping so far.

I am getting a Chocolope mother from my friend sometime this week and then I will start with more cuttings and upload more pictures.

Today was the first small feeding of Advanced Nutrients Grow with a very low ppm. Going to be using ph'ed water for the next week and will possibly raise the ppm's a little higher for the next weeks feeding without usiing any other nutes other than the grow.

Everything seems to be going well. Now just time to relax and wait. bongsmilie:leaf:
Thanks for stopping by! :peace:

I am not for sure which phenotype sadly.

Im also still waiting to get a moher so I can fill up my tent with her cuttings. Hopefully within the next day or two.

Still no pictures sadly, but they are looking great under the 600w MH Solarmax bulb.

Im going to be feeding again at the start of the week with a little bit higher ppm's.
Current temp inside the tent is 71 F

Thanks for checking in. :peace::peace::peace::leaf:bongsmilie

Looking pretty good - you and I are both starting out with our Sun Hut XLs, will be nice to track my progress to yours.

Quick question about your hood - how do you like the Magnum XXXL? I have a 1000 watt, but that's the reflector that I'm planning on getting for my next grow and I was curious to hear your thoughts, mainly vis a vis light coverage in the 4x4 tent.

Thanks in advance, and good luck.

I am actually really pleased with the XXXL hood. It was a debate between the great white hood and the XXXL, but I am very pleased with spending the extra money on the XXXL. I ran a smaller hood in then tent on my last grow and the xxxl hood makes the light coverage a lot better.

I alsmost wish I would have went with the 8" xxxl hood but It is more of a want than a need. The 6" works amazing. :weed::peace:

I love your set-up, I am def a newb when it comes to growing but it seems like you have a TON of nutrients, are you planning on using all of them for this grow?? I was looking into that same tent you have, you got a great price for sure! I look forward to watching your progress!!

I do plan on using all of the nutrients I have in the Picture. I also plan on getting a few more from both advanced nutrients and roots organic. Im going to be using advanced nutrients on most of my girls and just test the roots organic on a couple to compare the two companies.

All of the advanced nutrients I have are for use during different stages of the growing period. So I will be using all of them, just not all at once.

I LOVE my tent. I will eventually get the sun hut xxl 4x8x7 tent and keep my xl tent as my veg only tent. They are easy to setup and take down with no problem.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for your answer, appreciate it.

On another note, do you feel like the 600 is adequate for a 4x4 space? Even if it is "adequate", if you could start over again, would you go with a 600 or a 1000?

I'm asking because I'm (actually in the process of) mounting my 1000 watt in my Sun Hut XL, and I'm trying to plan for the future and am also looking at getting a Sun Hut XXL, and would like to try two 600s in there as opposed to two 1000s.

Again, I appreciate your input, and if you get a chance, stop into my journal in the next couple of days and you could possibly give me some critique(s) of my setup, if you'd be so kind.

I think with the hood I have the 600 watt works great. I was in a big debate too on which system to get. A 600 watt or 1000 watt. I went with a 600 because I figured it would be a little easier to deal with heat issues during the summer time.

I'm still really pleased with the 600 watt so far. Its crazy bright in the tent. As long as I'm pleased with the outcome of this grow I will prob buy another 600 watt setup to have both running in the sun hut xxl tent I will be buying.

I will for sure check out your journal and give you some advice. I'm curious to see how our setups will compare to each other with final product.
