Suggest LED under $1k

Hey guys, I am interested in converting to LED, but not sure of the best options. Long story short, I would like to flower a 4' x 4' space... being able to veg too would be great. I have been running two 400w cool tubes, but it is too hot.

I would like to stay under a thousand bucks, but seems like the shit that claims 4x4 is more like $1,600. Maybe even two smaller lights would work. I like the solar storms because of the uvb lamps, but I would have to get the 400w.

What do you guys think?

I agree with tenthirty. For $900 you could do a DIY with 9 high bin Cree CXA3070's that would probably out perform any commercial panel at twice the price,and you don't even need to solder anything.

Thanks for the replies, I will look into diy. was also looking at the area 51 rw-150 panel. are the white leds going to be better than blues?

also considered mars ii and growblu.

Area 51 would be your next best option but you would need two RW-150's and two RW-75's to get enough wattage and have even coverage for a 4x4 and you can veg with them. Three Onyx would work too but not the most even coverage and no vegging.
