Substituting scrog nets with pvc rail/livestock gates -- anything reusable that won't overheat your canopy

Scrog nets seem tedious and I don't like that they're single-use.

Is there anyone on here who uses scrog-like trellising with reusable materials that don't get hot? Skinny pvc might get too hot.

I guess I'll have to get more efficient with scrog nets, but I'd prefer not to.

At https://scrogger.com/, they sell 3 different units: portable, 2x2, 2x4,and 4x4.
DIY four 4'×6' units would be ideal (i.e., one per 4x6 flood tray).

I use cotton butchers string and hooks on the outside wood or pvc support frame. I can just undo them and pull them out when harvesting. I tie the ends of each string with a loop that goes over the hook. Takes about 5 minutes to set up and break down, the strings are as tight as you tie them, and they can be individually removed to shift things if needed.
