Is it OK to put a towel Underneath smart pot, I have seen It dun in videos but is it a bad idea

I really can't tell , but whats the purpose ? i think it will be ok , but every week probably you have to take it out , clean it and bleach it probably , too avoid fungus and bacteria.

get drip trays if your concerned about it, don't use a towel. It's just going to be a breeding ground for mold and bacteria.

I cut the plastic from a fan guard into pieces that fit under my smartpot, allowing air to circulate and water to drain. a towel will make it easy for mold to grow.

yep, anything that allows it to be off the ground and air to get under it.

I can see it racing the pot off the ground but can't see it giving any air under the pot kuz the pot in sitting on it and closing it back off lol

I just don't see how if it is sealed up by the smart pot I see how it can drain. I had to cut the bottom out of a 5 gal bucket for my other pot it fits tight but it is not complety touching the bottom think that is ok

because it is an airpot, air gets through it. If it isn't sitting in the saucer in water, it will get air
