Sometimes my plants grow short and fat and other times they spring up like they're looking at Denise Milani. I'm careful about the position of my lights. How can I keep them short. This is my preference. I'm thinking maybe I should just start flowering sooner. Anyone have any experience with this?

I've had the same problem as an early grower, ide have the lights 2.5" off and some would be 2ft and some would be 4.5ft, its really all genetics but if you top your plants then bend them so the nodes will grow out quicker then top the plant again you should be able to have evenly grown stocky dence bushes. Now my plants rarely grow over 2ft. but be advised that not all plants like to be top'd and or bent, some will refuse the treatment or just start stressing or go in shock but thats in small cases.
