Straight cattle manure?!

could u use straight cattle manure that is dried and fluffy? would u need to thin it with other things to avoid burning the plants? peat moss???

anybody ever used it?????? fill me in guys thanks ! :peace:

Be careful, if you use hot or heat treated Manure it needs to be cured, or else it will fry your plants, just ask the people at the store.... i would also water just at the stem for the first few days. My plants LOVE steer manure, and especially CHICKEN manure, since it has 3x the amount of nitrogen, but it is also 3x the price.

what if its free and u just have to get it up lol.... it wouldnt be cured or anyhting... just dried good? will it work

free? as in picking up cow patties?... or free as in - similar to your icon, but instead of bags of money bags of fertilizer? hahaha

if you mean picking up cow patties... you would want it to be at least 6 months old...
if your "buying" it from the store you should be fine using it right out of the bag.

chicken manure has 3x the amount of nitrogen though, way better stuff.. i use the steer really as an amendment to make up for space. still good.

nah its from a farm haha... nice idea though ;) haha would u add perlite and vermiculite or just mix with peat moss?
