So I read a post earlier about going straight to flower from seed. So my ?? Is why? Is there an advantage of any kind. Just quicker bud?? Wouldn't the plants be super small? Would the flowering time be the same as if you were to veg for a month??
That reminds me of another ?? What's the advantages of vegging for 6 weeks rather than 4? If any. Is there a rule of thumb on veg time??

No rule, it's just size, your personal preference. My plant outside has been vegging for 12 weeks or more.

Oh I feel the same way, I'm a Scrog-a-holic, I think give the plants time and get a good yield out of them. Your putting in the effort, just let the plants live a bit and then take it for the reward.

There are however, some people who like the short grows, quick turnovers, small plants. I just advised there is no set rule.

There's a 12/12 from seed thread. I think the general idea would be loads of plants in small containers vs bigger plants. Personally I think 3 galllon growbags would be perfect for stuffing a tent full. The guy who started it has some decent results for what it is especially conssidering a lot of strains will go into flower in as little as a month. So loads of little guys.

I grew some Vortex..vegged for two days then went to flowering..took 18 days before showing sex . Did that for two reasons..1. was just to see what would happens . 2. It's a sativa dom. strain and height was an issue...we'll that and I didn't know about LSTing at the time. Flower time was the same (68 days if I remember correctly) Only yielded like 10 grams so some veg time is required. She still stretched to 12+ inches.
