I had this in the attic, it came with the house. It's North American red cedar. A Google search yields nothing definitive about using red cedar as opposed to Spanish cedar as a humidor. Also most of the information is for cigar storage. Some say good others say not good. Are you guys thinking what I'm thinking. Anybody?

How “cedarish” does it smell? Normally they inlay those with incense cedar, bit it does look like it is red. Put something with a mild scent in it, and see if it picks up a cedar smell.
