stones deffusion has anyone tried it

I found this site here from a high times ad. aside from the 2 fine honeys they got. the the product looked interesting. they are glass deffusion beads that break up the smoke right in the water here. sounds great for more deffusion. I looked around and found out that roor has something like it but in a real smaller size. has anyone tried any of these?
on another forum they linked up this site here for a cheaper marbles. Plus one could match up the colors to ones bong. but does anyone know the size of those stones and the roor marbles? other wise i can go to the craft store and pick up some of them there. someone on that forum said what about using carbon filter pieces. Which they said works great. so i thought what about lava rocks. completely porous, just get a big stone and just break it down? any thoughts

I am sure a craft store would sell something very similar to these for MUCH cheaper.

Yeah


The smoke bubbles would get trapped up in the lava rock... you want the smoke bubbles to get broken up around the glass beads



But yes, they have shit like this that people use in plant stuff, like glass beads for decorations and a medium for interesting looking plants?


Id go see what pier 1 has, they usually have that kind of shit right?

i've done it recently with regular pea gravel (smallest gravel you can buy by the truckload)..... worked fucking great

yes it absolutely does... once you do/see it, you will be like "well no shit. why the fuck didnt i think of that"... but it really depends on the shape of your bong... you want to be able to clean it still and such.

but yeah, it gives you a shitload more bubbles, so in turn, much more cooling effect, allowing for bigger hits and burning weed up quicker

What are your thoughts on diffused downstems: Slits or holes


I've never had one with slits, those are just on the higher end pipes, I did have like 12 holes on the downstem and it seemed to hit smoother

never tried one, but thats why i tried the stones.... wanted to see what the hype was about.... anything that makes more bubbles will make a cooler/larger hit.... but honestly, i dont like it that much

^ive smoked from diffusers with slits and one with holes and personally i think the slits hit better, But it could just be personal pref.

It works.

You can try it for less than a buck if you have a place around you that has fountain drinks with the pea sized ice. I think most Taco Bells have the pellet ice. Get a cup of the ice, pour it in, add just enough water, hit away.

I have never tried it with glass because I would not want to clean them up.

In mine i have slits which seem just fine. never tried the holes kind. my next stem I will try out the holed kind. again more deffusion. haha and more burned bud.
im go get some of them marbles from the store. I know the're going to be regular size marbles and I wonder if the smaller beads would work better. cant wait to see the bong filled with green marbles tho. hell ya
