Stinky Stinky

I'm getting started with my first setup which is going to be based around an aeroponic design. I get some real good herb where I live but my biggest problem is the smell. There isn't any. I was used to bud that needed to be triple bagged. I never see that around here. What do I have to do to make sure my herb stinks to high heaven. Currently I have some NYCD , Orig. Dies. and some Haw. SK. Thanks in advance for any help.

Each strain has its own odor...some are very subtle while others require a lot of work to mask. My Afghan strain is easy to grow as it has very little "room wide" odor. Does not matter how it is fertilized, lighted or anything else.

My White Widow (Greenhouse Seeds) grow on the other hand...well, I have had to pay close attention to the house overall as the odor easily escapes the grow closet. The exhaust fan has to run every half hour to get the odor into the attic so that it is buffered before leaving the house. I have also had to "deoderize" the whole place to make sure residual smell is not obvious. This is with only 4 medium sized plants!

If you are interested in smell, then I would just ask about the various strains as you decide which one (or 5) you want to grow. I can attest to Greenhouse White Widow and DinaFem Cal Hash Plant having very strong odor, but by no means are those the only strains that fit your criteria.

so funny motorbreath, because it's true----

I remember when I first began..my mentor would get so offended when discussing odor issues & I would refer to the aroma as "stink"...

Kinda depends on the age of the plants as well, I've noticed mine tend to start smelling around three weeks old.

Smell is a mystery to me, one of my plants smells real good and
the other smells like egg fart (?) and they r both the same strain.

thanks for all the input so far everyone....it definitely sounds like strain is key for what i'm trying to achieve. does anyone have some more suggestions on what their "skunkiest" strains have been and where i can look for seeds?
