Stepping up my setup

Hey I just recently bought this bulb
Walmart.com - Always Low Prices! - GE CFL Light Bulb: 26 Watt (100W Equivalent), 6-Pk

Do you think this bulb will do the trick im somewhat new to growing my plants are about a month and half into veg. stage and I have been reading around for a bit and decided to get this one.

Also I dont have any flexible ways to put the bulb above my plant. So right now I have it in a Lamp and a put enough books underneath the lamp for the lamp to be above the plant. Will this still work fine for the time being?
(the lamp has no cover on it)

Just one of those won't be enough. At least use all 6. Whats the rest of your set up like?

I got a 2 pack of those and I have a huge floro tube, currently using a closet. The plant actually seems to be growing pretty well, so far I haven't had to many problems other than some nute burn but I bought some new nutes today so.

Wouldn't 6 of those bulbs boost my bills up by alot?

What you have is probably alright for vegging but you will want more light for flowering. I am running 6 42 watt cfl's in my grow box and don't really notice a difference in my electric bill. I am sure it's gone up a little but not enough to draw any attention. If your worried about using too much power take a look at this thread. Lots of household appliances use more power than those six lights. Also if you can change the light bulbs in your house to cfl's so you can conserve energy. Hope this helps.

O ok cool, so by the time my plant is ready for flowering I should pick up more bulbs, im planning on letting it stay in veg. for a while cuz I want a decent plant

Yeah if you have the space let the girl grow! Just remember the bigger it gets the more lights you will need to flower it. Also it could double or triple in size during flowering so thats something else to think about when deciding when to flower.

Im stilling trying to determine its sex im not quite sure since its not showing any real signs yet. It better be a girl :hump: or else :cry:. I have a HUGE closet there is plenty of space you could probably fit a few people in my closet.
