Stem bulging at nodes is this normal? not on my other plant

Hello, guys I have been vegging this plant for about a month and a half and the stem on is thick as hell, i was looking closer yesterday and it looks like the stem is reinforcing itself with these bulges on it. Is this normal?

I will be taking more clones off the bottom branches, should i trim the rest off? Here she is from top view. She is short but bushy.
