Okay guys here are some pictures of my cab its still in the building process. flower on one side veg on other still waiting on the seeds in the mail i ordered Barneys Farm Blue Cheese Feminized, G13 Labs Autoflowering Quicksilver Feminised, Dinafem Blue Hash, Dinafem Seeds Blue Widow this one should be interesting blue widow i think i will start however with 4 Blue cheeses. Also still in the mail is the 150 hps light i plan for flowering and the space on top is going to be used for storage and 4" ducting through a homemade carbon filter. Do you guys think it will be okay to leave the filter in the top of the cab and cut a hole in the back to let air out or should i run the filter through the top of the cab or the back? any imput is welcome comments thoughts please feel free maybe you see something im overlooking.

I hope you plan on putting a dark screen between the cubbies and the doors... hardly a stealth box if you have a cord running from under it and light shinning through the cracks in the doors. You might also want to consider a low db fan in the back, mounted in a certain way so you have good air flow characteristics and to keep the light from creeping out. Other than that, it looks great for seedlings. Unless you are cloning or taking the plants elsewhere when in veg/flower stage, I would be careful with the low height restrictions of that box.:peace:

The one side is going to be used clonning down the road and the wires are going to get all tucked behind mylar that im putting up just have to move in a week or two not to motivated to set everything up then move it but most likly will. as for intake i was just going to cut holes in the back of the cab and maybe add a fan for air movement but i will most likly end up using pc fans. Then lightproof the cab wasnt sure what to use weatherstripping most likly but the flowering chamber is about 5' tall 2' wide 22" deep and was planning on flowering two plants in there under a 150 watt hps because the other chamber is going to be a clonning/veg room to try and keep the cycle going.:hump:

Florescents are good to have in combination with the hps. If you can get it to work with both do it.

Wow, I wish my growing area looked that good. I am actually thinking of getting an old server rack to build mine in.

Built in fan ducts, line it with black n white poly, already has the wiring for a grow hehe.

That would be bad ass but it would have to be one of the dell mesh server racks had one in high school. Do you think there is going to be any ventalation problems though i wasnt sure if i should have air pumping into the cab or should i pull it out. Also box is light tight but no where near air tight if that makes sense.

Greetings Flyhigh...The cabinet looks great! Good job putting that together. I agree with the poster who said the height restrictions might pose a problem, but using something like 'BushMaster' or the like will probably fix that. I've done two grows in a Sunlight Sheds Mini Cool Cab and both worked out fine right to the end.
As for ventilation, the rule of thumb is basically you need to match outflow with intake. If your exhaust fans are pumping 4cfm out, you need to provide 4 cfm of fresh air. It'll also help with your heat build-up, which was my main problem with the Mini Cool Cab.
Best of luck and keep us informed...

Hey FlyHigh,

I gotta tell you I keep trying to read your journal and My eyes keep wandering over to your avatar pic. LOL I love it.

Hey man, I have done a bunch of grows in cabinets and kept journals on them. I went through all the shit you are now
and found solutions. You may find some good reading and skip the mistakes I made. Links to journals are in my Sig.

Here is my current setup. Areoponics on the left and hydroton on the right.

One thing I can tell you is to keep an eye on the temp of your nutrients if thats them on the top shelf.

By the way, Once you have uploaded a pic. Click on it a couple times to get it full size then you can copy and paster it like this

just keep it under 800 pixles wide and it wont stretch the screen
