single bagseed plant, week 5 starts today, topped for two main colas with a 150hps and six 23w cfl's. fox farm nutes.

i noticed some tiny growths yesterday which i pray aren't going to turn into pollen sacs. they're probably half the size of a pinhead at this point.

the main pistils at each node (the first set of pistils closest to the main stems) have all turned red as of yesterday. will the redness begin at the base and work its way towards the tip of each of the buds, or is pistil color change random? literally only the first pistils at each node are red at the moment.

.....oooorrr, is the early pistil redness a sign of pollenation?

also, if this is a possible herm am i deep enough to just finish out the grow as it's my only plant?

pics would help.. especially of the tiny growths so that they can be identified for sure..

but...

pistils die throughout flowering and are regrown... so it could just be a crazy coincidence that the red ones are all in the same spots...

if you do have a hermie, the pistils reddening and browning are a sign of pollination..

if you are that far along you can finish your grow.. but you may very well lose weight and potentcy.. once flowers are pollinated they stop growing and concentrate on the seeds.. so any flowers that get pollinated on your plant will, well you read the last sentence.. you know...

problem is without pics its kind of hard to tell you which one of the 2 options is your answer... if you post some tho, you'll get a definite one...

good luck tho...

if it was a hermie you would get pollen sacs coming from the actual flowers themselves... they would look like banana sacs.. just brush those little new growths off...

those pistils die and mean nothing.. as long as the flower pistils arent starting to turn red/brown on specific flowers then your fine...

I'm at the same point with my plant in that picture I hope whoever wrote this can't tell me how long it took to shows signs of your other pistils changing colors??
