Starting Up (Lowryder2/T5 lighting)

I'm about to start up my grow in a small space, about 18"(t) by 2'(w) and i'm wondering what i can expect in regards to odor and overall growth. I've ordered t5 lights which output about 10,000 lumens.
I read in one other post that using organic soil with fertilizer is a no no. Does anyone have any information about why this is so? Or what this will do to my plants? Also, i plan to use a refrigerator negative ionizer in the grow space. It's the oreck refrigerator negative ionizer.
Lastly, what seeds should i order next? What will do good in a small space? In other words, what will yield best in a small area bestsides an autoflowering plant.

you cant adjust your nute level when its pre mixed i usually wind up flushing cause of lockout and then you cant flush proper cause the solids are still in the soil also there
are so many lowryder genetics available why not try them all

Hate to say it, but my vote would be for an auto-flowering strain. You're going to need to grow several plants too in order to get a decent harvest. With your space limitations, you'll be lucky to get a half ounce per plant. The reason why you don't want fertilized soil is so your plants won't get burned. Adding your own nutes gives you much greater control. Avoid time-released fertilized soil above all. If your plants get burned, flushing the soil won't really do you any good.

the seeds you buy would have to specify either autoflower or lowryder these varietiesflower automaticlly without changing the light cycle

I should have noted that i ordered the seeds from Cheap Marijuana Seeds – Cannabis Collectables from Sensible Seeds and they came after a few weeks. This was my first time buying seeds, so i'm not sure how other companies package their product, but the way used by SS was pretty genius.

What would be the best soil and nutes to go with? And i went with 6" pots, how are those sized for lowryders? Is there an autoflowering plant that yields more than most?

I'm not aware of any particular auto-flowering strain with exceptional yield. They're probably all similar. As for soil and nutes, you would do well by sticking with Foxfarm. Can't really comment on the size of your pots because the only measurement that matters is what their capacity is. I imagine that one gallon pots will suffice, seeing that Lowryder strains only get 1-2 feet tall.
