Starting to lose faith, need help w/ Attitude

A received an order from The Attitude last week. I purchased 5 pack of GHS The Church, Skunk #1 and got my 15 DNA Genetics plus 1 Hashplant x Haze for free.

My order came quickly, and I started to germinate my GHS, Skunk and Hashplant seeds. Within 36 hours the Skunk #1, Hashplant, and 1 Church had germinated. I let the Church seeds keep germinating. I then found a thread on another forum concerning bad germination rates for The Church. Franco from GHS suggected scoring the seeds so they would pop open easier. I scored 2 seeds and waited. After another day I checked and the insides of the seeds I scored were all mush. Looks like the seedling stated but couldnt escape the shell and rotted in the shell. that left me w/ a germination rate of 20% w/ the Church.
I then popped 4 bagseeds, and 6 of the DNA Genetics seeds. All 10 seeds germinated. the problem isnt w/ my germination methods. It is w/ The Church.

I called The Attitude 3 times, spoke w/ a woman named Rachel, let her know my problem. After the 3rd call she told me to email her. I sent a message and it bounced back, bad address.

Ive sent emails also, not a response to a single one.
I also checked GHS website, they say to inform the vendor for an exchange, I did and NADA.

I dont wanna be harsh or come off as a dick. BUT, I do want to get what I pay for. To me 20% germination rate sucks, and for a seed company is simply unacceptable.

Any ideas on how I can get what I paid for? Anyone have an email addy for Rachel that works? After banging my head off the wall for a week, Im almost outta patience, and starting to feel like I got screwed. Any suggestions ?

I have access to greenhouse seeds but I don't plan on selling them as I don't believe in them.

I'm not sure exactly how your going to get a win from this situation, attitude to me seem pretty clear on germination as its illegal to do so, you can fight them all you want, but I doubt you'll get any joy out of them.

Sounds like green house was selling old seeds. Personally I say don't score your seeds. Place them in a match box lined with fine sand paper and shake the hell out of it. That will micro score the out husk/shell/whatever you want to call it. This typically increases germination rates for older seeds. Most of the time actually scoring the seeds with a sharp blade just fucks them up unless you really know what you're doing/have good hand eye control.

You seem to know what you're doing with germination so it most def sounds like you were sold a shitty ass product. I'd be pissed.

It's something I can live with..I've been around the block many times , not the first time Ive been screwed.
I just won't buy anything from either GHS or Attitude again. When Im asked about either I'll just tell my story and let people decide for themselves if they wanna do business w/ either company.

There are other seed producers and seedbanks that I can spend my money with.

They can't talk about any germination issues over email. However, I have heard of people getting replacement seeds after sending the ungerminated seeds back. Personally, I haven't done it and I don't remember if they said they called them or if they were just able to phrase the email in a way that Attitude could respond to.

I should rephrase how i fell, it's disappointed; not angry. Im bummed w/ GHS more than I am w/ Attitude. I can understand Attitude's position, i think as a vendor for GHS they should follow GHS's policy regarding seeds that dont germinate. I also know that the problem lies w/ GHS, not Attitude.

I did read the fine print on Attitude's website, i understand the pocliy on seeds. I also read here and other places about them being cool to customers that have problems. Thats the major reason I bought through them to begin with.

On the other hand I am very disappointed w/ GHS. I KNOW they recalled The Church last year. I also know they re-released them after dealing w/ the bad germ. rates. I also know that Im not alone as far as having bad germination rates. Im on another forum that GHS posts at regularly, they have to be aware of the problems popping up again. There are people posting w/ the same problem I have.

Anyways, Im done. I've vented and Im moving on. No need to worry about me being a troll against GHS or Attitude, as I said Im moving on.

In defense of Speedy, I PM's him and asked his thoughts. As a businessman I wanted advice from someone thats actually IN the business of selling seeds.

No need to be harsh to Speedy, he didn't badmouth Attitude or GHS at all. All he said was I wont get my $ or an exchange and that he doesn't carry GHS's gear. I now know why he doesn't.

I got the advice/thoughts I wanted and BTW Speedy thank you for taking the time to try helping out.

There is no need to scarify weed seeds. they are thin skinned seeds and if the plant cannot overcome the shell, it isn't going to make it anyways.

My thoughts exactly, after growing on and off for the 20+ years Ive never had to do that. I did it because it was the advice given directly from GHS, specifically from Jack @ GHS. He posted this on another forum concerning the Church germination issues.

Posted 12/19/2009
"We did have germination issues a year ago with the church, but those seeds were recalled and shops should not have those seeds in stock because they were replaced free of charge for all vendors + only a small amount was dispatched. the new batches are good."

In another post that had been a Sticky, Franco from GHS suggested scoring the shell. That post was a sticky concerning germination issues w/ The Church, as soon as people started reporting problems again the post was removed.
