Starting seeds outside then bringing inside.

Hey guys and girls,
I'm just waiting on my next paycheck to buy a hps light and was wondering if I can germinate my seeds and start them growing outside in the sun while i wait for my light to arrive. Will this be ok? or will bringing them in from outdoors bring bugs etc into my grow room? Cheers for the help.

Go and by a shop light and start them under that.
