Starting off

First off, I have a feeling im gonna screw this up. But I worked on a farm for years and have a pretty solid backround in Agriculture. This is however, only my second attempt at growing weed. My first attempt was busted in a different location.

I have a small yet efficient grow room, with 6 25 watt Fluorecent lights. I am not sure what type of soil to use... I have that Miracle Grow with nutrients and Ive heard mixed reviews about it, Some people swear by it, while some people believe all those nutrients will burn out your plant early. I also have that Soilite shit they sell on TV, but I haven't heard anything about that stuff. My first instinct is telling me to go with the Miracle grow, but from what I hear, alot of people don't like it.

Past that im pretty much set with cups, lights, timers and fans. And the seeds are germinating as I speak.

My real question is to long-time growers, how can I make sure my plant grows with speed and vigor? How can I be sure that nothing outside of the obvious (Bugs, overwatering, etc.) stunts my plants growth? Be aware that I didnt start with the highest quality seed, so I dont expect the Highest Quality bud.

I have looked in the FAQ but I would like a few straight tips from someone in the know

If you want to make sure your plant grows as fast as possible, you got a few options. Hydroponics is a pretty damn good way to grow efficiently. I know you said long-time growers, I'm pretty new myself but I mean, that doesn't really mean anything anymore since I've spend on average about 26 hours on this site a week, as well as others, learning and such. Going off of what I know though you can either do that, or everyone raves about Fox Farm nutrients and soil. Make sure you provide plenty of CO2 to your plants. Keep the grow room clean and make sure you leave whatever you clean, dry, unless of course its meant to be wet. Keep your humidity and temperature under control, and that's about all I have to say man, good luck. Hope that helps *somewhat*
